A time-traveller arrived at an experiment dedicated to studying the Big Bang and the mysteries of the Universe recently and a log of his travel is now available. John Barrowman, aka time-traveller Captain Jack from BBC television series Doctor Who and Torchwood visited CERN — the world’s largest physics experiment. At CERN, scientists are preparing the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), an experiment that will recreate conditions last seen fractions of a second after the Big Bang in order to understand how the Universe came to be as it is today. yey thanks for uploading that video very interesting!

  4. BlancheRoth says:

Yes :) That’s what I was trying to explain. There’s no way they could create a black hole with the LHC :)

  5. abradras says:

ehh.. 1) for creating a black hole is huge amount of matter needed. so big that death star falls in to your self. there is no mass in lhc , they playing with couple particles. 2) and they notice everything , you know ..those damn particle detectors around.

  6. clumsyelf says:

That was seriously awesome!!!! I totally loved it!!!

i want your babies….my name is Julian too :D

i love how scott is shy that what makes john and scott such a great couple!

  9. vanyadolly says:

Is that Scott there at 2:37 and onward? I swear, he gets hotter every time I see him, it’s a shame he’s so shy

  10. BlancheRoth says:

There’s nothing coming out of a black hole. That’s why it’s black. Not even light can escape from it. And according to the relativtiy theory nothing can be faster than light.
And even if they create a black hole we would never notice. The time slows down so much we’d feel like we never reach the event horizon.
    (sorry for my poor english)

We are gonna find out soon when they Run the machine :)

I hope is not a painfull death if something bad happens…

What about if some strange shit come out the black hole???

  12. Rob187ok says:

I’d feel better if they knew exactly what they are doing but they are sooting in the dark to a certain extent. A machine that powerful has to be treated with caution. It may be harmless,,,but maybe isn’t good enough. Even a small chance of something going wrong is too much to risk. They are talking about creating mini-big bangs. What if Big bangs only come in one size,,,BIG. Nobody can be completely sure,,,IT’s an EXPERIMENT, but what are they experimenting with? They don’t even know yet. Peace.

  13. SirJulian says:

I think this people is doing Dangerous Experiments, but with this awnser they will know how Mater and the components of this one really are. Then here will come the Real true. they said the black hole is gonna be so small compare to the size of the Earth that is ridiculous to think is gonna end with our civilitation… For example is other black hole out in space and nothing is happening to us.

  14. Rob187ok says:

    SEE IT

  15. trippinsacks says:

    prove it

  16. Rob187ok says:

elizdeu, what future is that then? If you knew what these technilogical aliens had become from following the same road as the scientists you’d freak out. We are being giuded by evil beings who have mastered technology but lost their souls. Wait until this marvelous thechnology makes you redundant as a real human being and sees fit to turn you into an extension of itself. It’s happening before your eye’s and you can’t even see. Welcome to the machine. Learn about the Beast and how it grows. PEACE

  17. elizdeu says:

Rob if everybody was like you we would still be living in caves thank god there are people like CERN that can bring us into the future

  18. iamseeingyou says:

    opening pandora’s box?

  19. Rob187ok says:

Sorry about the maybe ,,,but,,what is reality,,,REALLY. Scientists say that you can’t create something from nothing at all,,,so how can we exist? How can we understand where anything came from in the first place when something must have existed before anything existed. It’s all impossible,,,but it’s here,,and some things just don’t have answers. Eternal is beyond science, but that’s OK ,,we can just accept it. So we are wasting our time trying to find answers to questions which don’t make sense.

  20. marymactavish says:

@sammiodiablo: Not the earth, as that’s already *mostly* well known, but more about the origins of the universe. Scientists are trying to recreate the (probable) conditions immediately after the Big Bang to better understand the processes then.

  21. marymactavish says:

    “maybe”

    Also, maybe I’m an emu.

However, I am not, and it is incredibly unlikely that I would be.

  22. theocan says:

old age will probably kill us.. or are you suggesting… ALIENS only joking but if you are suggesting anything else please share it with us

  23. marymactavish says:

Yes. We will all die. However, this won’t be what causes it.

  24. dannyb929 says:

    will we die?

  25. gav41 says:

Very intresting, wander if he will be there tomorow?
