Link is the nintendo counterpart of commander shepard.
Link saved humanity twice at 9 years old, with scratch. He found/earned everything he got. He can solve complex puzzles, defeat large and many enemies, all while under the time limit of 3 days. Not to mention he gets all the bitches.

Freeman saved humanity twice with only a crowbar, he climbs ladders like a boss, is a fucking scientist so he’s smart and shit. Plus, his name is so close to Morgan Freeman so therefore Gordon Freeman is Jesus or atleast voiced by Morgan.
